kicad schematics
creating a hackpad for school
lately i've been working on my latest project, which is a macropad. i want to use it in school and just make my life easier overall because hehehe...ib is gonna kill me fs. anyways
i started designing the schematics for the macropad in kicad, which is a software that allows you to design pcbs and schematics. kicad is lowk easy to use, but i really don't understand anything
about how to actually wire the components, so i've just lowk been clauding everything (when in doubt claude it out yk). i have a decent idea of what i'm going to do with this hackpad, but lets hope it turns out well.

dramas on bingebase
it's crazy how much media i've consumed
today i made my bingebase account, and attempted to add all the shows i've watched before. c-dramas with over 80 episodes, each 50 minutes long. my profile literally says i've consumed 4 months of dramas. 4 MONTHS. which is a crazy number considering
i don't think i have even half of all the dramas and media i've watched over the years logged. i should lock in...

today i actually locked in as an intern for astral nexus tech and got started on web development! it just so happens that this tech company uses wordpress for web hosting and stuff, and oh my god wordpress is impossible to use.
it took me 30 minutes to literally figure out how to add blocks, then another 30 to figure out how to change font size!! literally in my opinion html might be better and quicker at this point! anyways today i got the trial site started,
and i also got my ideas approved by the founder this morning to go ahead and start developing. i thought i'd hit the easy part with web development, but noooooo

day 1 of sidequest
starting a nonprofit is really an experience...

today i ran the first meeting for my nonprofit organization; sidequest. it was great seeing so many students interested in leadership and working to make a difference. but it also got me thinking.
since when was making the world a better place so much the responsibility of youth, who are supposed to be enjoying the last years before they have to worry about incomes and taxes? it seems
like the world right now is running on a system: adults create problems, youth attempt to solve them. adults create climate change, youth work their butts off trying to reverse it. i dont believe we should
be handed everything on a silver platter, but i do believe that solving these problems should not be the entire responsibility of youth, under a title of initiative and getting into university. i believe that
humanity's future is something everyone is responsible for, and youth should not be forced to give up their most innocent years to fix a world that is already broken beyond repair.

coding vs physics
how tf do i manage my time
never before had i thought that i would spend the entire summer STUDYING. faced with the dilemma of my school not offering hl physics (high level physics) as an option, i am forced to
take other courses outside of school to boost this aspect. i am currently studying ap physics, but im also stuck. at the first unit. it's been 2 days since i last touched that textbook (ive been coding since)
and i can't help but wonder; was this decision really right? am i truly cut out for engineering?

layered farming
what if humanity could farm using less space?
in grade 8 i once had to do a project; solve a SDG (sustainable development goal) in my own way. i pitched layered farming, which got overriden by a music project that
helps dementia patients. looking back, there was definitely a solution to layered farming. with the amazon rainforest losing space and wildlife all around the world
losing their homes, it would be a true lifesaver if humans were able to invent layered farms that occupy less horizontal space. however, the biggest problem i see with
that is that sunlight may not be able to penetrate all the layers of plants. for this i see two solutions. mirrors and lenses that amplify the sunlight, or a layering strategy
where the plants that need the most sunlight are at the top and the crops that need the least are at the bottom. should i make a 3d model of this?
